Keep in mind that blades on the watchmaker screwdriver set, are meant to be sharpened from time to time. These blades can also be replaced when worn out completely. This is one of the things that make burgeon such a special company supplying watchmakers with wonderful tools. Their screwdrivers are far the best that I’ve ever used.
if you’re just starting out and don’t know if you want to die fully into this hobby or profession, you can get a set of inexpensive screwdrivers that will at least get you started. However if you are going to dive into this in a professional sense, you’re going to want to invest in some of the best tools made.
my burgeon screwdrivers have lasted me over 20 years and I replace the blades periodically. I sharpen the blades once a week or as needed if I’m doing a lot of work. So keep that in mind you’ll also have to invest in a sharpening stone. Sharpening stones, are very inexpensive and are always good to keep on your bench not just for screwdrivers, but for things like gravers and other tools that you’ll use that need to stay sharp.
