Junk or Gems Epi 5: Vintage Tudor Cleaning… Did it work?

Episode 5:

In this episode, I’m going to break down a 50 year old Tudor automatic watch, and see if we can get it working.

Some of the things about this watch that I didn’t show in the video include …

  • Bent and damaged center Pinion for the sweep second had (fixed)
  • Made a new stay for the center pinion, as the old brass stay spring broke while being repaired.
  • New mainspring, I’ve covered these if other videos and articles, so I’ll link to one here…
  • Broken case screw.  While it isn’t shown in the video, I fit a new case screw
