Designing a Diamond Band!

Hey guys, in this two part video tutorial, we’re going to be using Blender 3d, our computer and our imagination, and design a fancy shaped diamond band.  It isn’t hard, and if you’ve been following along with the course, then you’ll have some of the basics.

If you need a refresher, go back and watch some of the other video tutorials to help you out.

In part one, we cover the basic design of the ring itself.  This process reviews features in blender that allow us to apply shapes and tools to make the design we want.

In part two, we’ll cover some other, slightly more complex methods.  Such as creating cutouts for stone placement, and applying those cutouts to are ring model.  The purpose of this is to help you understand the complexity of working with objects and curves.

Remember that practice is key…  Enjoy the videos, and let me know what you think…

  1. HI Peter
I am so happy to have found your blender videos and spent the last few days enthralled, I just cannot get enough. On one of them you mentioned a library of stones, settings, bands etc. Do you have any estimated time frame for availability. I am very interested. I did blender 2.78 some time ago but never had the time to learn it, now after uploading 2.81 version with your video step by step, I have managed to follow along very well and will be spending much more time in the create mode.
Greatly appreciated. My website included, just a novice to say the least, practice, practice, and more practice, lol
    Thank you
    And Happy New Year
