Blender 3d, How to get the right Ring Size

Custom made rings are fun to create.  I enjoy making one of a kind items with Blender 2.82 and my imagination.  However, when I have to make a ring for someone, the only thing that is not custom is the customer’s finger size.

In this example, I’m going to show you just how to start off your new ring design with the size of the ring needed for the customer’s finger.  Custom work is not difficult, and while I’ve shown you ways in the past to solve this problem, it is probably not a bad idea to spend about 12 minutes covering just this topic.  Ring Size in Blender 3d.

If you have watched the video, then you learned the four different ways to make sure that a ring is sized correctly.  Keep in mind, all of these options work perfectly, and you can use any that you find easier or more comfortable for you to use.

However, don’t limit yourself, because I have found over the past five years, that there are many ways to skin a cat… With that said, you may find that certain ways of doing something work every time, and sometimes, using a different method will solve a problem.

The Boolean Difference tool built into blender is a great way to use cut-outs to get the correct ring size for your custom design.

As I practiced in the vide, using the Extrude option as along with the sizing option, you can stretch your model out giving it what ever depth you wish.
